Said Dr. Moran,

“Throughout his long life, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh embodied the utmost sense of duty, courage, and loyalty in all of his great public service.

For over 25 years, I was privileged to be able to support His Royal Highness in his support of many causes, which included the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the Royal Society of Arts, Shakespeare’s Globe Trust, the Outward Bound Trust, the Council of Christians and Jews, and most of all in his support for the work of Co-operation Ireland. On numerous occasions, His Royal Highness accompanied Her Majesty The Queen in support of peace and reconciliation on the Island of Ireland at historic occasions in Northern Ireland, London and Windsor.

I was privileged to be honoured by the presence of His Royal Highness at my home, Crosby Moran Hall, on occasions in aid of some of the causes mentioned above.

His Royal Highness will be greatly missed. My family and I mourn his loss.”
