On 28th November 2023, Dr. Christopher Moran hosted a Reception & Dinner together with the National Portrait Gallery at Crosby Moran Hall, on the subject of “William Dobson: Serjeant-Painter to King Charles I”. The Keynote Speakers were Catharine MacLeod, 17th Century Curator, National Portrait Gallery and Tabitha Barber, Curator of English Art, Tate Britain.

On the evening, guests had the opportunity to view five pictures by William Dobson in the Crosby Moran Hall collection, including William Dobson’s portrait of Charles I. Continue reading

Christopher Moran, owner of Crosby Moran Hall, was delighted to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, Patron, International Social Service (UK). Historic Crosby Moran Hall served as the backdrop to new and existing supporters of the UK member of ISS network, Children and Families Across Borders, a charity which protects vulnerable children separated from their families across borders.
